I stayed in the Lewis Cabin July 1 - July 8, 2009. You could not ask for a more comfortable room or environment. Quiet and away from the city crowds and noise. Even though it appears rustic, the accommodations are modern. A very nice bathroom and very comfortable queen sized bed. And very clean. There is plenty of space, with a sofa that could double as another bed. I was too busy to spend time on the front porch, but nice rockers are provided for visiting with other guests. Historical books are provided in the rooms for reading about the history of the area. And the breakfasts are excellent, with wonderful hospitality from Sharon Osgood and interesting conversation with fellow guests. I searched the net a lot trying to find a quality place in Salmon, and this place stands out well above the rest. I highly recommend it and will stay there again when in Salmon.

"Dave and Sharon - More thanks for a lovely place to stay while enjoying your part of this pretty valley. We have had reason to really appreciate the friendliness and helpfullness of the Salmon people and will go away with such good memories. You can tell by our "clean plates" we truly enjoyed the breakfasts and your advice about things to see and do made the day pass too quickly. We especially enjoyed connecting with this part of the Lewis and Clark Trail. From a Lewis Family of Virginia descendant and me - Rod and Jane Smith"

Greyhouse

There are times when we need a place to go away from the every day, to rest for a night warm our hands by a stove take strength from the gifts of the earth.

It's a place we can go to be with a friend, and share in a glass of wine, or search through the past for a treasure or two and imagine what tales unwind.

There are times when we need a place to go in the heart of our favorite land, to sing a song to rest our soul or to hold a lover's hand.

This is one of God's hidden places where the clearest of waters flow, where a house is a home and the Osgoods share, in the wonders of Idaho.

In the days to come you'll return in your mind to Greyhouse, a house that's a home. To cherish the moments you felt in the heart, in the heart of Idaho.

Sharon,
To come around the corner and find the Greyhouse, as we did, restores my faith! Such a miracle. We had a magical evening here, and Allen and I plan to return to stay for a few days. Thanks so much for your kindness and hospitality. We love Idaho.

What makes a wonderful B&B is not the setting or the house it is the people who inhabit it. Sharon and Dave we are thrilled to have had the experience.
