Syringa Idaho's state Flower
Now is the time to visit Idaho's Salmon River country, and include in your plans a stay at the Greyhouse Inn B & B. Our state flower, the syringa, mock orange, is in full bloom, and can be easily seen along the edge of highway 93 as you drive north from Challis to Salmon. This hardy shrub seems to flourish in the most unlikely places. Clearly visible across highway 93 from the Greyhouse, it grows just below the rocky slopes and without any visible signs of water. It;s a beautiful, fragrant flower and this is a great time to make your reservation at the Greyhouse Inn and enjoy one of nature's wonders.
